The design, animation and music were all kept funky to encapsulate the idea of a quintessential Bollywood flick. I had to play multiple roles here, right from designing the film, to designing the characters, to animating the characters on Maya to supervising other aspects of CG like the modelling, rigging and shading all the way to the final compositing. I also had to supervise the music for this piece.

This ident for Sony MIX  captures the expression of the Danseuse when she is elated and ecstatic. Music moves you and in this case manifests into a beautiful classical kathak video.

I designed look frames first , then did a storyboard for the sequences, directed and eventually supervised the CG for this beautiful piece.

Zoe Estebe is a Film Production house in India.I designed and directed the film and designed the characters in it and supervised the CG output.

The design was imagined around a story which basically explained the process of film making, graphically, which included the emotions like action and romance that actors exude on screen to the capture of audio and the Director's vision behind all this, where he spins a story and strings the events together.

I designed these look frames for a film called 'Chhoti Si Aasha' (working title), is a film which talks about a very sensitive subject of children being pushed into the Naxal movement in India. I consider myself fortunate to have been a part of this wonderful project. 

They say "Music and Silence combine strongly because Music is the silence between the notes, and Silence is full of music". This Image spot was based on this thought where cameras and the microphones are seen capturing the silence only punctuated by ambient sounds in the space.The beautiful ambience is translated in the form of music and transmitted through the coloured wires. The wires reach the music to the TV sets in the form of the Channel logo.
Its grim, its hollow and it contrasts the conventional form that we are used to perceiving music in, but somewhere it just makes one realise the presence of music thats present all around.

I Ideated, Art directed and Directed the film.

Time travels through seasons and experiences with it the most beautiful elements around, that illustrate and capture the essence of the season. I designed and directed this short journey for Sony MIX, that captured the time travel through different seasons and festivities.

It was my first summer in London. And I must say, coming from Mumbai, India, where the summer and heat prevail through out the year, I had never imagined I could ever be waiting so eagerly for summers. The spring, like the royal harbinger, announced the entry of the resplendent summer. And as it arrived, I could feel the woollen blanket around me metamorphose into that, made up of happiness, smiles, green trees and golden grasses and the most spirited people. It was longer evenings, people socializing and travelling to different places, indulging in activities etc. It almost felt like it was that time of year that was meant to be 'Celebrated'. Needless to say, this season had possessed me too. I felt rejuvenated and happy all throughout. And between work, I often found myself walking across alleys and streets and parks with my only friend in this new city- My Camera. I secretly wished to hold this warmth and freeze it in time....much like gathering fire flies in a jar. I wanted to always feel fresh, happy, warm and full of hope, so decided to capture this time on my camera. It shaped itself into this small album called 'Summer and Smiles'. I believe, the the effervescence of this time, stored in my memory will keep me feeling comfortable all through the coming winters.

In the chaos of this city lives this race of people on the streets that is showered in happiness and contentment. In my recent visit here, which is my hometown, I set out with my camera to find the source of this joy amongst people living within the most meagre means. What I came back with wasn't the answer but a collage of images depicting the curiosty, the eagerness, the anxiety, the happiness, and many many more ness's and 'ty's' that package themselves to be one of the the most colourful and vivid albums.

They say, "Travelling....It leaves you speechless first and then turns you into a storyteller". I would not agree more. I think I have been fortunate enough to get a chance to travel a lot and explore and this gave me a chance to capture moments that told stories about places, people and the lives there. This is a compilation of a few images from my travels across India, New Zealand and some parts of Europe.

This series is a part of a workshop on Soft Lighting for beauty portraits. Light position, placement and intensity add the emotional quotient in a still image. I tried bringing out the softer and sensual side of the subject.

This was a part of yet another workshop on Vintage Pin Up and both hard and soft lighting. The idea was to explore different lighting, 'vintagy' costumes and their effect on both polished as well as a gritty backdrops.
